It is my goal that when you look at your photos you will remember every detail of your day, big or small, planned or candid in a way that brings you right back to that moment.
My signature package is designed specifically for brides who value the small details of their day, value being able to be fully present on their wedding day and value being able to celebrate and dance the night away with friends and family all while making life-long lasting memories. I want to give this to you without giving up any precious moments being captured.
A little about me. I love all things pink, a good cup of coffee, obsessed with traveling the world and nothing fuels my soul more than photography. I live for capturing those precious moments that are candid and evoke emotion in a single photograph that last a life time. My goal is to capture the true essence of who you are effortlessly while giving you an enjoyable photography experience.
When I'm not behind my camera, you can find me spending time with my sweet family. I have been blessed with three wonderful boys and the most amazing husband.
my name is Alina
I know some couples are thinking that engagement photos aren’t necessary. They feel they don’t need them, or it’s an extra expense that they don’t need spend money on or simply just don’t like being in front of the camera.
This is why this topic deserves some attention. There’s more value in an engagement session than is talked about.
THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY
For one, you get to work with your wedding photographer before your big day. Getting to know your wedding photographer, their style, their ability to get you comfortable in front of the camera and their personality is pretty important. Let’s face it, you’ll be spending more time with your photographer on your wedding day than your soon-to-be husband. So, if you vibe with them more like an old friend that’s pretty amazing.
You want a photographer that can do so much more than deliver beautiful images. You want a photographer that understands the importance of capturing all the in-between moments, the moments that can go unnoticed. You want a photographer that can make you feel comfortable and be there for emotional support through those moments on your wedding day.
A GREAT EXCUSE TO DRESS UP
Treating your engagement photos like a date is honestly so much fun. Dressing up, getting your favourite outfits together and making reservations for dinner after your photoshoot is highly recommended.
THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO GET COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
Coming from experience of being behind the camera and in front of the camera, I can say this is really important. I know it may sound crazy but this will actually ease the anxiety and awkwardness altogether.
Engagement sessions are more relaxed and are meant to be fun. You will also know what to expect from your photographer so that on your wedding you can just focus on your special day. Posing is meant to be effortless, so being comfortable in front of the camera will let your personalities come through so much easier. So, you can look at your engagement photos as a practice run.
Christmas tree farms are truly the best way to start off the Holiday season. There’s nothing like a family tradition of cutting down your own Christmas tree, picking up a fresh made Christmas wreath and sipping on hot apple cider while you shop for Christmas tree ornaments.
This family session was one my favourites to date because I’ve always wanted to capture moments like these with fresh snow falling on the ground. This sweet family braved the cold and every photo is so magical. The snow truly made our session festive and I don’t think I want to do another tree farm session any other way.
I had the pleasure of photographing one of the two sweetest people I have ever met. Their wedding was filled with emotions, tears of happiness and so much love you could burst. My passion for photographing weddings is so much more than taking photos, but more so it is the friendships I’m so lucky to gain, the connections I make with the people I meet that keeps me doing what I love. Katerina & Derwin’s wedding was one to remember; timeless, elegant and so romantic.
Although, 2020 has been a difficult year, Katerina and Derwin didn’t let this deter them from having the most beautiful and intimate wedding with their closest family and friends.
They chose a french inspired theme with a hint of Gatsby and it was absolutely beautiful. Graydon Hall Manor was the perfect venue to make their vision come to life. Everything was done with elegance and planned to perfection by the talented wedding planner, Lexy Marie Weddings and Events.
This year things are a bit different but creating beautiful memories with a fun Christmas photoshoot is exactly what the heart needs!

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!
I know this is such a difficult and unprecedented time with new challenges you never thought you had to face. You’ve worked so hard to plan the most beautiful wedding of your dreams and not a detail has been missed – this is so hard. My heart goes out to all of my clients (and all couples) going through this. This pandemic has impacted all of us and has cheated us out of the most important things in our lives. I want to acknowledge that it’s okay to feel sad and give yourself permission to mourn the loss of what would have been your wedding day. I believe it’s so important to let yourself feel what you need to feel to get through this. Keeping things in perspective is also so important because it will help you have a game plan of how you want to proceed especially when all those emotions come rolling back. And that’s okay!
If I could be of any help these are my suggestions to all brides and grooms moving forward with their wedding day:
First, if you’re still planning on getting married in 2020. Here are so questions you should consider answering:
Option 1: Postpone your wedding date to the fall if you still want to get married this year, or postpone to 2021 to reduce the likelihood of it getting rescheduled again. Check with your venue and vendors’ to ensure availability.
Option 2: Sit Tight. If your wedding is still a few months away, it might be best to not make any decisions just yet. If this option make you feel stressed, exploring your other options might make more sense.
Option 3: Elope or Intimate (Small) Wedding – Consider how you feel about not having your dream wedding and dig deep of what’s really important. If you’re eager to get married sooner rather than later, eloping is a great option and possibly having the reception with your loved ones at another date.
Second, making a plan, knowing your goals and priorities all while keeping your vision will help reduce any stress and anxiety you’re feeling.
In conclusion, I hope all of these questions and suggestions have helped you dig deep to determine what’s most important as a couple and has given you some insight and encouragement. I love the quote, “love is not cancelled,” but rather it is reminding us that we can still celebrate our love, the relationships we hold with our dearest family and friends are sacred and incredibly important. We will get through this that much stronger.
A few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend a Film Workshop hosted by the incredible talented Katie Nicolle. It was such an incredible experience to learn and get hands on experience shooting film. I’ve always wanted to learn more about film and after this workshop I’m definitely considering purchasing the Pentax 645 to start experimenting.
To add to this incredible experience of learning and being amongst other talented photographers, I got to capture a beautiful couple in the most romantic setting. Charis and Ryan’s in-home lifestyle session took place at a cozy farmhouse at Woodland Weddings in Ridgeville Ontario. They were truly the sweetest couple and it was such a pleasure to capture their love.
Everything about this day was perfect and I absolutely love how these photos turned out.
Lifestyle sessions are perfect for anyone looking to get some amazing photos in a location that means something special to them. If this is something that you would be interested in doing, drop your name in my contact form. I would love to hear from you.
